I was up early yesterday. I went to get my usual coffee at Starbucks. I order it online to pick up to avoid having to wait in the lines. It’s Florida, so lines take forever. After I came out, I noticed that the sky was dark pink. I thought I’ll drive over to see the sunrise. It was scheduled to come up at about 7:10 am. On the horizon, you can see reddish orange toward where the sun was about to break. I went to the Courtney Campbell bridge to see it. Going toward Tampa, I pulled off on the left since it seemed to be rising on the left of the bridge. I pulled my car into one of these dirt turn outs. I walk across the tiny car lane to an opening.
It turned out to only have rocks and water at this one. So I had to climb over all these rocks while trying not to fall. I was practically out on the last rocks before I would have been in water. To the right beyond the trees, the sun was just starting to come up. It was a beautiful red. There were a lot of clouds and humidity, so I think this had something to do with the color. But I stared in amazement. I took several shots with my camera. For some reason, the phone cam does not do it justice or reveal just how red it was. I tried with flash and then without flash, but nothing would cut it. Basically, I modified the pictures as best as I could to give you an idea of what it was I was looking at. But, I had to sit back and enjoy it for awhile instead of just photographing it. There is such a peaceful feeling that happens when I watch a sunrise or a sunset with such beautiful colors especially if it’s on the water. Feel free to send me to pics of your sunrise/sunsets if you have them or put them in the comments below.
